I think this was my first session in proper cross-off wave conditions. Small waves, but that was a blessing given my skill level. Started to get the rhythm of bottom and top turns more. Fearsome gusts followed by windless lulls made things tricky at times, but I found that even in the gusts it was OK to bear away on the wave - I think the speed on the wave plus bearing away takes the excessive force out of the sail.

I really good fun session - a great end to a fantastic week in Ireland. Pity about the torrential rain as I was de-rigging - the track down from the road turned into a river and I was worried I would not get off the beach - several cars and vans needed pushing out.

Left one top turn too late and took a fall with a foot in the strap. No pain at the time, but the nest day I could hardly walk and it took a couple of weeks to sort itself out. No pain no gain.
